Dr Randolph Stone studied yoga asana in depth and from his profound knowledge of the human energy system he gleaned what was essential in yoga asanas and developed a series of asanas/movements that are therapeutic for one's health and well being. The main objective of Polarity Yoga is to release the subtle energy tension fields and stress blocks in our body, allowing our energy to flow freely. Each Polarity exercise brings to our attention various energy blockages in our system, areas causing us tension and pain, and the movements, breath and sound releases them.
Removing stagnation and accumulated gases, resulting in harmony within ourselves and our environment.
Postural positions have their relation to the elements,the tattwas - through the connective tissue or tension fields in the body the positions end up moving the deeper energy currents of the body. This is accomplished by the way that the postures put stress on the tension field in the connective tissue ligaments of the joints of the body, which are the cross-over points of energy flow in the structure.

Polarity Yoga postures bring attention to certain energy blockages in your body that can cause you to feel discomfort.
These simple exercises help release and alleviate tension in all its forms, allowing your vital energy to freely flow so that you can be in harmony with yourself and your environment.Polarity Yoga can even help you reduce tummy fat.
Part of Polarity Therapy, Polarity Yoga is a series of simple exercises that stimulate and balance the energies of the body and the five elements (Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth). These principles and elements come from the Ayurvedic Yogic Healing tradition.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
The Prana Shakti Yoga Teacher Training at the 200 hr level is unique in that you learn how to impart yoga as a tool for healing. Yoga is a system for health, healing, well-being and self-realization. What starts as an exercise program becomes a path that you enjoy walking down for the rest of your life, as it enables you to be you to the fullest.
My intention throughout the training is to challenge that teacher within you to come alive. The training will enhance your personal yoga practice and take you to a place you have not been before. Yoga at its best does just that. I hope you will join me in this training for yourself and for the benefit of others.
STUDENT EXPECTATION
Students will leave the 200 hour Yoga Teacher training program with the following skills and experiences:
• The skill to structure a yoga class intelligently, taking into account the students' needs
• An understanding of the principles that unite the traditions of yoga
• A basis for life-long study and practice of yoga
• An understanding of the ways to work as a yoga teacher in different settings
• A 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered certification
This Yoga Teacher Training developed from my passion for teaching and the dedication of students that were ready to become teachers in their own right. My intention throughout the training is to challenge that teacher within you to come alive. The training will enhance your personal yoga practice and take you to a place you have not been before. Yoga at its best does just that. I hope you will join me in this training for yourself and for the benefit of others. You may not even know if you want to teach yoga to others or how that will even manifest. Only once you have filled your cup to the brim, and only then, will you be able to pass it to others.
In my opinion, to know Frances is to experience first hand the quality of "shraddha", a Sanskrit word that denotes devotion and dedication, to yoga and to her students. Frances teaches Yoga not just Yoga Asana. She is an alchemist; her breadth of knowledge on body, mind and spirit proved to be an inspiring combination transforming us students into confident teachers in the space of an intense 3 month program. Thank you Frances!
The Prana Shakti Yoga Teacher Training encompasses not only the basic elemental aspects of the yogic practice, but the application of the system to heal and vitalize the body and mind. What starts as an exercise program transforms into an enjoyable path that you can walk down for the rest of your life. It is strongly suggested that you have studied yoga with a teacher for at least 2 years before considering the Teacher Training, or have my permission.
Course Overview:
Philosophies, Ethics, & Lifestyle
Yoga is the path of self realization and a way of life. As part of the teacher training program, students will learn about the history of yoga from its early roots to its current form in the West. In addition, students will explore the following:
• Classical and Tantric Yoga Philosophies
• Ethics of living yoga on and off the mat
• The business of Yoga
• How to market yourself as a teacher
Teaching Methodology
Pranayama and meditation are in many ways the heart of any yoga practice. Through consistent practice they transform the practitioner, unveiling powerful benefits and transforming the practitioner.
Asana and Anatomy
Understanding your own body and creating a yoga practice for your health and well-being is one of the real treasures of a personal yoga practice. Students enrolled in the teacher training program will learn how to develop a personal practice that incorporates alignment principles for the body, mind & heart. Your personal practice becomes what you teach to others for you can only teach what you know.
Essential areas covered will include:
• Benefits and contraindications of postures
• Explanation and application of the Principles of Alignment
• Use of props and modifications of postures
• Hands-on assists
• General anatomy of the human body & anatomy of movement including identification of major muscle groups and bones
Range of motion, tension and compression
How to deal with injuries and physical limitations in the classroom and one on one.
At the 200 level we begin your journey as a healer with the Reiki Attunements.
REIKI LEVEL I &II will be given during the training.
A Yoga Teacher’s touch is a healing touch.
Satsang (fellowship)
Satsang means company with an assembly of persons who listen to, talk about, and assimilate the truth. As a group, you and your fellow teacher trainees will have ample opportunity to connect and support one another through the process of becoming “that teacher which you truly are”. Creating friendships that can be long lasting and profound. I will take you on this journey offering you all I know, so you can gather others to join us on the path of yoga.
